A unique piece of maritime sport unfolds on the Veerse Meer near Kortgene during the Kortgene Regatta. Traditional St. Ayles Skiffs, wooden rowing boats where strength, rhythm, and cooperation come together, appear on the water. Standing along the bank, you'll see the teams race past at full speed with the open water and the Zeeland landscape as their backdrop.
The regatta is part of the Dutch Championship 2026 competition calendar. Teams from various locations will come to Kortgene to compete against each other, while other crews will also participate for the daily prizes. The races will be held in the morning and afternoon around an island in the Veerse Meer.
