David Bowie Undercover @ ’t Beest David Bowie Undercover @ ’t Beest
Prof Nomad’s fantastic session (featuring Bartel Bartels, who was born and raised in Goes but has now been living in Amsterdam for many years) is returning to t Beest by popular demand. The band has been back together for a number of years now to pay tribute to David Bowie and play his songs with a line-up of top Dutch musicians.
The tribute act has previously graced Dutch stages and captivated audiences at festivals like the Zwarte Cross and Oerol with a show featuring Bowie's magnificent repertoire, spanning from his 1967 debut "Space Oddity" up to his death in 2016. Not only will hits like "Rebel Rebel," "Ziggy Stardust," "Heroes," "Jean Genie," "Let's Dance," "Space Oddity," "China Girl," and "The Man Who Sold The World" be performed, but there will also be a focus on his lesser-known gems.
The band consists of top musicians from various bands, ranging from Douwe Bob, Niels Geusebroek, and Gigantjes to Dotan and Henny Vrienten. Just as Prof Nomad previously found the right singers for earlier sessions, including Ellen ten Damme as Blondie, Paul de Munnik as Neil Diamond, and Niels Geusebroek as the frontman of Coldplay, now there's the incredible Edgar Koelemeijer (ex Wild Romance) who embodies and sings David Bowie with style and performance.
Vocals: Edgar Koelemeijer (Wild Romance) | Guitar: Reinier Scheffer (Bløf) | Guitar: Al McLachlan (The Scene) | Keys: PP Everts (The Motions) | Bass: Bartel Bartels (Prof Nomad) | Drums: Stephan van der Meijden (Bettie Serveert)
Prepare yourself for an unforgettable Bowie evening!
