On Sunday 28th June, gardens across the municipality will transform into sunny open-air stages. Local performing artists will perform behind the neighbour's fence, the lawn will be the stage, and the garden furniture the grandstand!

Gluren bij de Buren is an amateur arts festival that will take place in approximately 60 municipalities across the Netherlands in 2026. During the winter edition, local performing artists will be programmed in living rooms, and during the summer edition, in gardens. All performances last 30 minutes and are spread across all neighbourhoods of the municipality. A wide variety of disciplines are represented. Visitors walk or cycle from location to location, thus getting acquainted with neighbours and local talent. No ticket is required, but a voluntary contribution is appreciated.

GBDB is looking for venues and performances. Swing open your garden gate, invite your neighbours, and turn your own lawn or patio into a vibrant stage! Or take a spot on the stage; everything from music and dance to poetry and knowledge sharing fits on the GBDB stage.
