Experience a piece of Zeeland tradition during the ring riding in Wemeldinge. During the summer months, riders on horseback or pony compete to spear as many rings as possible. They ride bareback at a gallop through the course, attempting to hit the ring with a lance. A special part of the day is the 'kamp om de pollepel' (competition for the spoon), a beloved tradition within ring riding.
The event attracts young and old and offers a wonderful introduction to Zeeland's folklore. At the end of the day, the traditional chair riding follows. A pleasant closing to enjoy together.
